We fell in love with this incredible oil at first taste in Andalusia. It was, quite simply, the freshest extra virgin olive oil we’d ever experienced.

Picualia olives are harvested solely by mechanical means then cold pressed at a precise temperature. The resulting oil is stored in an inert atmosphere, protecting the oil’s precious flavours, aromas and naturally occurring health-benefiting antioxidants. Evooleum reports that Picualia has three times the level of antioxidants expected in a top quality extra virgin olive oil.

A NEW GENERATION OF PRODUCERS


The Mill
Picualia’s award-winning mill is eco-friendly and fully sustainable. And one of a kind in Spain. Olive stones heat not only the mill, but the homes of the local community, through biomass systems.

Today, more than 950 farmers are part of the Picualia family. The mill processes up to 30 million kilos of olives and produces around 5 million kilos of oil each year.

Each year a percentage of the sales from Picualia’s unique limited edition ‘First Day of Harvest’ go to support a local charity, working to preserve the ecology and culture of the region.

A FAMILY OF EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OILS


Range of Oils
First Day of Harvest, Premium, Exclusive Reserve, Gourmet, family Reserve.  All Picualia oils have an extremely high smoking point and low acidity levels.

Premium range - less than 0.12 acidity. Fresh, perfectly balanced combination of fruitiness, bitterness and pepperiness. Ideal on salads, cheese, avocado, pasta, freshly baked bread,  soup, cold meats, fish and used as a finishing oil

Gourmet less than 0.4 acidity. Fruity, mild and creamy taste with distinct taste of almonds - medium pepperiness. Ideal used in sauces, salads, drizzling and ideal for baking, sautéeting and grilling.

Family less than 0.6 acidity. Fresh, mild, creamy with a hint of fruitiness. Ideal for adding to sauces, dips, grilling, baking, frying, and sautéeing.

Picualia are part of the exclusive Jaen Seleccion 2019 and partnered with The Worlds 50 Best Restaurants.
